Ceremonies and Events
Our inaugural Open Gorseth was held at Chalice Well Gardens on 17th June 2005 (St Hervé's day). Tim Hall was chaired as the first Bard of Ynyswitrin.
In 2006 we moved the Gorseth ceremnoy to the slopes of the Tor and held the contest for the chair at the White Spring on the theme of "Gwynn ap Nudd - King of the Fairies". Tim Hall retained the chair for another year with his piece The Ravens.
The second year's contest was held at the Assembly Rooms on the theme of The Nine Maidens. Dearbhaile Bradley was chaired as Bard of Ynyswitrin and Merlin of the Woods as her deputy.
The theme of the 2008 Gorseth was "The Spirit of Trees". Ash Shannon won the chair and David Reakes was made deputy.
2009's theme was "All that Glisters is not Gold". David Reakes won the chair with Tony Atkinson as his deputy.
Who will it be next year? Will it be you?
